The Benefits
Healing of Body, Mind and Emotions + Self-Empowerment + Self-esteem + New Meaning to Abundance

Who is QuimbyQuimby?
Phineas Parkhurst Quimby (1802-1866) was a nineteenth century mystic, healer, humanitarian, scientist who initiated a contemporary philosophy and called it, "The Science of Health and Happiness." His insight into the relationship between beliefs held in mind and the experience were well in advance of his time.

Quimby is known as the father of New Thought, practical metaphysics and practical Christianity. His work laid the foundation for such movements as Divine Science, Christian Science, Unity, Religious Science and many more. He believed disease is an error in the mind and could be corrected by the understanding of the right relation between and divine and the human

Quimby's philosophy covered certain ideas which enrich life in all ways.

Beliefs determine happiness or the lack of it.
Beliefs can be changed.
Life responds to our beliefs.
We exist within the One Presence, the One Spirit.
We have access to the One.

A major definer of the Quimby message was the gifted writer and speaker Dr. Ervin Seale (1909-1990), who for 32 years addressed a large audience at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City.

The Quimby Memorial Church is an outgrowth of the Quimby Memorial Church and Foundation of New York City. The Church and Foundation were under the direction of Dr. Ervin Seale. Dr. Seale, a former minister of the Church of the Truth, dedicated his later years to translating and publishing the writings of Phineas Parkhurst Quimby. Among the modern writers whose ideas are included in our teaching are Dr. Ervin Seale, Emmet Fox (ordained as a Divine Science minister), and Joel Goldsmith.

Classes are held every Wednesday from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at the Quimby Church office at 174 Front Street, Secaucus.. Classes are held every Sunday from 12:15 pm to 1 pm after the service. The Divine Science School offers classes and home study for those desiring to become teachers, practitioners, and ministers.
